Appearance:
As a young boy, his mother had gone out of her way to apply each and every herb and concoction she had to her only child, paranoid that he’d be too weak to survive underground, seeing as her first child had been born developed wrong and died in the womb. As a result, he was physically spoiled and raised into being relatively good looking.Personality:
As for clothing, he settles for a white button up shirt that’s been worn down and beat up after all the years of running around with the hunters. And though you can clearly see that it had once been quite a nice shirt, you can’t help but notice all the smears from every single type of food you could ever imagine. As much as his parents persevered to keep him groomed and well dressed, the boy kept on coming home with his new shirts ripped and pants caked in who knows what. Eventually, they gave up and let him dress himself in the rags he preferred. Nonetheless, once you look past the mushy clips and bits trash, you just might see a pair of light brown pants, with a few holes in them for touch.
His prominent features revolve around his face really. His ski slope nose sways a bit over his face and is wet when he sniffles, quite comparable to a little puppy, actually. After several occasions of sniffling and wiping it, his nose has been bestowed with a slight arch. Hadrian’s hair is the type of mess that is tamable to an extent, but most often, he settles for the usual bed head. His cheekbones are very high and as for his eyes, they are a silver blue that shine and twinkle in both day and night. Though they are dark and serious, they do unquestionably bring a load of graciousness. Aside from his face, the infant frame on his body has pretty much died away with puberty and running around with his dad at home. Though he’s not really lanky, he’s reasonably placed as one of the tall skinny kids.
And while he’s not the most average kid for his age, he’s well classified, but overall, he’s quite giant. Just another kid waiting for every else to catch up. He’s a bit of a misfit, since a 6‘3 17 year old standing next to some short stumps doesn’t really fit the picture in a lot of people’s minds. Because of this, he made it an additional motive to try his best to look shorter and prove himself just the very same next to the shorter, stronger kids. He’s learned to currently hunt with them, these earning him several scars and cuts throughout his body. They might concern some, but ultimately, the boy sees them as honors and is openly proud of them.
Hadrian is one of those boys that were just destined to be brash and perverse. He’s extremely hard headed and isn’t one to see much outside his own view of things. And when trying to persist or convince him of something, people should just realize one thing. He doesn’t care. Or at least most of the time. As long as he gets what he wants, he’s good. Much to the discontent of people he’s met in the past, he doesn’t show much affection to those who need help or are bereaved. Hadrian is the sort of kid that ends up really inconsiderate and usually tries his best to steer his way out of other people’s problems, or anything that they intend to lecture him about. It’s really become a problem throughout his years and has earned him more than enough punishments. Once the boy has his mind set on something, he generally doesn’t break his perspective or choices for the matter.History:
Defiance is his primary trait when it really comes to narrowing down his personality. In fact, his overall disposition revolves his defiant and lawless mood. There’s another thing as well. To Hadrian, rules were created to break. No other reason. Over his time growing up, his life was just a reckless course of sassiness and audacity. Hadrian is a rule breaker. And though he’s great at breaking them, he’s not as nearly good at following them. They’ve undoubtedly held a mutual discrepancy over the years and not many expect it to end anytime soon. His inattentiveness doesn’t help much either. He’s been known to disrupt what might seem to be a settled variance between him and another, reviving it into what ends as a interchangeable peevishness. But pay no attention to his downside, his playfulness just might make up for it. And while he always looks forward to something fun and exciting, he still has yet to learn to respect the other resulting preferences. From there, you shouldn’t be too surprised to see a loathing Hadrian with an established frown, closing in and not talking to anybody.
]Hadrian gets his way. Not really certain to most other people, but that’s what goes through his mind. If anyone disagrees with his choices, it just doesn’t register in his mind that he did anything wrong at all. When he’s told he’s false, it doesn’t seem to hit him that being wrong is an option at all. There has to be something absolutely wrong with the other option. And when everything is picked down to examples, Hadrian’s desire of fortune is at the top of the list. Though he’s been told that living with too much riches and treasure is extremely dangerous for someone his age and might lead him to snobbiness, he not only continues to strive to satisfy his own feelings, but goes to extreme lengths such as to planning a runaway from his own home and living with the rats. Due to this, he’s been constrained even more than usual and earned himself an even more watchful eye from his parents, though this has only strengthened his motives of escaping his “dream prison”.
When seeing Hadrian as malevolent, it can be seen as two ways. It’s either you’ll see the snappy part of him that just won’t stop until he dominates or the gracious fraction of him that’s rather approachable than what he wants to be. His one ambition is to be the greatest rich bad ass Regalia has ever had the honor of sheltering, but what he just doesn’t realize is that the majority would much prefer to make friends with the good natured Hadrian whose completely capable to living a great life with the loving family he was lucky to be bestowed with. And even though, looking back on the unfortunate past lives of many other people in the underground city, others would do anything to belong in a family, he’s too blind to notice what other people want and misinterprets the true meaning of having a family and the several benefits that it surely provide along the way through such hard times.
Yup. Hadrian is a poser. He definitely loves to walk around, jeering at everyone who passes, claiming himself as a prince and famous slayer of the rats, completely unknowledgeable of the gnawer territory itself. It’s been something of his for quite some time and while he tries to fit in with the tough crowd, he only seems to find himself in socially awkward moments, ending either shunned or humiliated in the process. In his own reflection, he’s the wild child. And on some level, he is. But not in the way he would see. He’s certainly rampant when it comes to behavior and hyperactivity, but deep down inside, and morally, he’s tamed and in the end, should be able to find the right choice. With some help. Hopefully.
Hadrian was born into a poor family. Simple as that. And once his parents heard that they were to move underground, they were a bit skeptical, believing that Sandwich was barking mad. Insane. Crazy. A lunatic. Once they had grown up in Regalia and settled down, they decided to bear a child. All was well. Until developing problems showed up and the baby boy died in his mother’s tummy.Codeword: dollars
After a few years of mourning the lost child, they had tried to give it another try. Though all after 9 months, the boy was born. His name was Hadrian J. Locke. He grew up and was raised into a gloomy community, a society placed underground, with his family’s food and money problems adding despair to the already dark effect of his childhood. Though surprisingly, Hadrian had been a happy boy, very much different from his family and non conforming with the other children.
Unlike all the other tall, fit boys, he’s not skilled with a weapon, much to his discontent. He’s a natural cook, much to his mother’s content, and was taught how to survive with home appliances; rather than swords, knives, and bows preferably by his father.
Hadrian’s relationship with his father has grown quite distant over a matter of years, though only because both of them knew that he wanted a better son. An athletic, charming son who was smart and could hunt...with weapons. The first son. The one was meant to be. The one that died in the womb.
